Engineer and Robotics

Students visiting the Robotics                program at the high school.

Students engaged exploring editing programs.

DESIGN AND MODELING

Students work towards the mastery of the ISTE standards to meet 21st century skills. Throughout the course students are focusing on the design and engineering process to create computer models and student-created prototypes.  Students engage in engineering skills including: orthographic, isometric, and multi-view sketching, creating 3-D computer models using Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, problem solving skills by developing prototypes that meet required criteria and constraints all while collaborating with other engineering students.  In addition to the design and engineering process students continuously develop and demonstrate positive digital citizenship with the use of common sense media and Create Mouse.

ROBOTICS

Students work towards the mastery of the ISTE standards to meet 21st century skills. Throughout the course students are focusing on the design and engineering process to design, build and program automatic robots.  Students engage in engineering skills including: orthographic, isometric, and multi-view sketching and problem solving skills by building mechanisms and programming robots that meet required criteria and constraints all while collaborating with other engineering students.  In addition to designing, building and programming students continuously develop and demonstrate positive digital citizenship with the use of commonsense media and Create Mouse.
